My name is Zuhair Wahaishi. I am a proud Arab Muslim. I was born in Benghazi, Libya, on August 24, 2005. I am currently living with my family in London, Ontario. I attended Sir Frederick Banting Public School.
About Me
I am a very outgoing person. Working alone is what I'm confident at. I don't like relying on others so I usually complete my work independently. I am a very hard-working person. When I work on something, I make sure to use the best of my abilities to complete the task. While working on tasks I thoroughly research and make sure I am knowledgeable on the subject. I also prefer taking the lead in group projects as I am a very reliable and responsible person.
I currently have a job at McDonald’s. Working there is difficult due to the fact that I haven't had much experience. Cooperating with your team is especially important in fast-food restaurants. Although it has proven to be difficult, I quickly adapt to any situation and give it my all.
Islam is what I pride myself in the most. I am proud to be an Arab Muslim. I like reading and memorizing the Quran. Going to the Mosque every Friday is something I've always looked forward to. As a Muslim boy, I accept every person for who they are and don't discriminate. I support people and stand by them. I will never stray away from Islam.
Activities
Physical activities pump blood through my body. Physical activities are what I love to do. Whether that be playing soccer, or even lifting. Anything regarding sweating and trying my hardest excites me. Just the feeling of having adrenaline coursing through my body exhilarates me. Soccer is my favorite activity. It being the best sport in the world makes me proud to play it. Just the thought of playing or watching soccer stimulates me.
Hanging out with my friends is a big part of my life. Doing the most boring things would be a blast with my friends. They make me laugh and enjoy my time every time I am with them. We may have arguments but, we always resolve them with a soccer match. Soccer unites almost everything in my life. I play soccer with all my friends. Watching soccer with my family. And even meeting strangers is simple when you have a common interest in soccer. I am able to work effectively with my team members regardless of their, abilities, intelligence, or how much I like them. Soccer has taught me many important life lessons such as, be humble, have complete focus on your surroundings, build trust with people, etc…
Achievements
Many of my achievements include soccer. One of my proudest moments in life is winning a soccer tournament with my team. I still remember the intense emotional experiences in 90 minutes. Pressure is something I am extremely comfortable with. Having experienced breathtaking moments I am able to stay calm and accurately assess the situation.
Graduating from Jeanne Sauvé Middle School. It may not seem impressive or worthy enough to call it an achievement but, I was proud of graduating for the first time. I also received awards for my accomplishments.
Memorizing my first Surah. A Surah is equivalent to a chapter. It contains ayahs (verses) that contain immense amounts of knowledge and wisdom. Memorizing a Surah was the first accomplishment that I remember to this day.
Hobbies
Many of my hobbies include activities with my friends and family. My favorite hobby is soccer. I wish it was more than a hobby and something I could professionally compete at. I competed in many tournaments when I was younger but was always the underdog.
Biking allows me to not only exercise but has fun. I prefer biking with my siblings following a specific route. Competing with my siblings is what makes it fun. Although it isn't much of a competition if I win all the time.
Finally, reading Quran. It is the most important hobby. I love reading and understanding complex verses. One day I will memorize the Quran and bring pride to my parents and family.
